Terms and conditions
General
No variation to these Terms & Conditions shall be binding unless agreed in writing between eCops and the applicant. The booking of any seminar is regarded as an acceptance of the Terms & Conditions. All references to payments, cancellations, transfers or substitutions relate solely to non government organisations.
Placement, Commencement & duration
Seminar placement(s) will be confirmed by eCops in the Course Confirmation email within 10 working days of receiving your booking that will include course commencement date and venue. eCops cannot be held responsible for the non arrival of this information. Any delegate who has not received this information 7 days prior to the event should contact Ecops via the Contact Us page.
Venues
Seminars are designed for delivery at premises hired by eCops.
Disability Issues
Venues with disability access will be selected wherever possible. It will be the responsibility of the applicant to confirm the disabled facilities prior to booking the course.
Changes to the programme
All seminars are devised and run by Ecops. ECops will make every effort to cover all the topics outlined in the relevant course summaries but reserves the right from time to time to vary, at its absolute discretion, the seminar content and the material covered to that advertised whilst ensuring the such content and materials will correspond with the overall requirement as advertised without reference or notification to the applicant. Ecops reserves the right to substitute the advertised trainers and include additional trainers and special guest trainers at any time.
Course Fees & Payment
Booking a place on a seminar constitutes an intention to pay the stated fee and payment is binding whether or not the delegate attends the seminar. All fees must be received by ECops as cleared funds before the commencement of the seminar. Any travel or provision of accommodation expenses incurred by the applicant shall be met by the applicant.
Conduct of Courses
Ecops reserves the right to deny, at their absolute discretion, without any prior notification and any reason being given, access to any individual or group of individuals, for the welfare of participants and organisers, and for the purpose of ensuring that the seminar runs smoothly, safely and in a manner which reflects the nature of the training, for all or part of the seminar.
Delegate Transfers, Substitutions and Cancellations
Transfers: It is not possible to transfer between seminars. If an applicant is unable to attend the booked seminar then a substitute delegate may be arranged or normal cancellation fees will apply.
Substitutions:A substitute delegate from the same organisation can be named at any time up to 24 hours before the course begins by referring back to our application process on the site and following instructions. Under extreme circumstances substitutions from the same company or organisation can be made on the day at the discretion of Ecops Limited.
Cancellations:In the event of non attendance or cancellation by the client, the following refunds policy will apply:
- If cancellation is made 6 weeks prior to the start date a full refund will be given
- If cancellation is between 4 to 6 weeks prior to the start date 50% refund will be given
- If cancellation is made 4 weeks or less before the start date, no refund will be given.
- Non attendance - no refund is given
ECops reserve the right to cancel any seminar but will always make every effort to give reasonable notice in writing. In the unlikely event of the seminar being cancelled by Ecops a full refund will be made. For all bookings the liability of Ecops shall be limited to the amount of the fee actually paid to Ecops by the delegate. Ecops shall not be liable where an event is cancelled or cannot take place due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Intellectual Property
The applicant acknowledges that all seminar material or copies thereof are the property of Ecops Ltd, and are subject to copyright in favour of Ecops Ltd. Neither the applicant nor his/her representatives will copy the whole or any part of those materials without the written consent of Ecops Ltd.
Software
You agree to use the Site and the Content solely for your own personal use and benefit and not for resale or other transfer or disposition to any other person or entity. You further agree not to use, transfer, distribute or dispose of any content in any manner that might compete with our business. Subject to the above, you may retrieve and display content on a computer screen, print individual pages on paper and store such pages in electronic form on disc (but not on any server or other storage device connected to a network), but you may not reproduce, modify or exploit any of the content for commercial purposes.
Limitation liability
ECops accept no liability for direct loss arising out of the use of course instruction, course material, or this website. Ecops will use all reasonable endeavors to verify the accuracy of any information on the site but makes no warranty of any kind regarding the representation and contents.
Virus Disclaimer & Liability
(a) Reasonable steps have been taken to protect this Website by anti virus software but it is your responsibility to ensure that your computer is virus protected. No responsibility can be accepted by Ecops Ltd for any loss or damage sustained as a consequence of any virus transmission as a result of accessing or downloading information from this site.
(b) Ecops Ltd cannot accept any liability for any loss of data or damage to your computer system (or any other computer system with which you may interact through your computer system) which occurs due to your use of this website, our products or as a result of downloading material from this site.
Breach of these Terms and Conditions
If you breach any of these Terms and Conditions you agree to hold Ecops Ltd blameless, its directors and those who deliver training for and on behalf of Ecops Ltd. You agree to indemnify Ecops Ltd, its directors and those who deliver training for and on behalf of Ecops Ltd, for all fees, legal fees and costs which may arise out of your breach of these Terms and Conditions.
Customer Care/Complaints
ECops provides a full customer care service and it is our intention to deal promptly with all complaints that may arise in relation to our service within 14 days of receipt of complaint. Any complaint that relates directly to a seminar must be received in writing within 10 days of the completion of the seminar. Please use the contact form on the Contact Us page.
Statutory Rights
These Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights
General
(a) This agreement is subject to English law and jurisdiction.
(b) These Terms and Conditions represent the complete agreement between you and Ecops Ltd and regulate all of your use of any and all of Ecops Ltd’s goods and services (including, but not limited to, website(s), training courses, downloads and materials and these terms and conditions replace any previous agreements made between you and Ecops Ltd.
